You might feel like you're stepping on other people's toes. I think being overly-competitive can be a really negative thing in business.

I had someone ask me for advice last week about starting their own business. As a business owner of less than 2 weeks I felt a little green to be dishing out advice, but here's the step-by-step process of what I've done so far. 

The admin side of business can be daunting but I've run my own business in the past so I know it's just as important to manage the "boring" side of things as well as the fun client work.

So I'm here on day one of my brand new business and I thought it might be useful to someone if I wrote a little bit about how I got here (it won't be my life story, I promise).
